Biography
My name is Whitney Sweeney and my Coaching business' name is Open Spaces Coaching, LLC.
I am a trauma-informed, Certified Martha Beck Wayfinder Life Coach and Certified NUSHU Group Facilitator and Mentor/Trainer. I follow Martha Beck'’s philosophy of being Transparent, Authentic and Open and I practice her “live it to give it” mantra.
I am a single mom of two young adults, a traveler, an animal-lover, a nature-lover, a writer, a former language tutor and consultant, a creative, a cook and baker, a trivia nut, a dancer, and music appreciator. I love to learn about lots of different subjects, but am particularly drawn to human behavior in times of change, stress and trauma. I am learning and embracing the importance of play and creativity in daily life.
I have personal and professional experience navigating and processing major life changes and grief points, as well as helping clients bring out their best and creative selves. I have learned there can be bright light at the end of dark places (it’s not a cliché!) and can help you work on finding your own authenticity, truth and path to a brighter place. I’ve been there. I get it. I see you and want to help guide you on your own journey back to yourself and thrive.
I coach with compassion, empathy and open-mindedness. I am also not afraid to challenge areas where you are stuck. I view coaching as a collaboration and conversation. We work together in processing the areas you want to work on, but I do not tell you what to do or how to live your life. I help guide you and help you unearth what you deep down already know about yourself and help you bring out your best self.
I love what I do and I love watching clients' transformations as they make small and big shifts toward long-lasting growth. I am on your side and am here to support and witness your challenges and transformations.
