Biography
Teresa Schwab partners with leaders, teams, organizations, and others entrusted with developing people to create the conditions where people, cultures, and performance thrive. A Master Certified Coach (MCC) through the International Coaching Federation, Teresa brings nearly two decades of coaching and leadership development experience, helping clients navigate growth, complexity, and change with greater courage, clarity, and confidence.
Growing up in a small town in rural western Kansas, Teresa learned the value of community, service, and showing up—even when it’s difficult. Those values deepened when she and her husband spent two transformative years serving in the Peace Corps in the Solomon Islands. Those experiences inspired her to earn a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare and pursue a career focused on leadership, policy and systems change before discovering coaching as a catalyst for lasting individual and organizational growth.
As a leadership and executive coach, Teresa helps leaders strengthen relationships, develop coaching mindsets, and create courageous, psychologically healthy cultures where people take ownership, learn, and perform at their best. She also teaches coaching skills to managers and future coaches, serves as a mentor coach to other coaches, and facilitates leadership development experiences that equip others to lead with greater intention and impact. Her work is informed by advanced training in CoreStrengths SDI 2.0, Gallup CliftonStrengths, Dare to Lead, Immunity to Change, and other evidence-based coaching methodologies, bringing practical insight and thoughtful challenge to every coaching conversation.
Whether coaching leaders, strengthening teams, or teaching coaching skills, Teresa helps leaders recognize the extraordinary influence they have on the people they develop and create the conditions where courage, growth, and exceptional performance naturally emerge.
Teresa and her husband live in Lawrence, Kansas, where they raised three sons and have welcomed exchange students and a “bonus son” into their family. Those experiences continue to reinforce her belief that people grow through meaningful relationships, new perspectives, and opportunities that stretch them beyond what they thought possible.
