Theresa Hursh is the owner of Uppermost Coaching, LLC, founded on the principle that becoming your uppermost self in leadership and life is the most important of all adventures. She is an advocate for you, or your employees, on that adventure.
Theresa has a broad business background gained as a Vice President and in-house counsel at a public company (DST Systems, Inc.), where she served the legal needs of the Human Resources Department and worked with the Board and C-Suite executives in the areas of corporate governance, executive compensation and transition, ethics, and regulatory compliance. In her early years of legal practice, she litigated for a Kansas City law firm representing national companies in defense of commercial and tort claims.
She navigated the path from legal counselor to coach because she is passionate about practices that lead to growth and discovery and have a positive ripple effect on the organizations and communities her clients serve. She has coached non-profit leaders, business executives, graduate and college students, people in career transition, and entrepreneurs growing their organizations. She enjoys coaching employees and seekers on a variety of issues and from various walks and stages of life. For businesses, she is well-prepared to hold coaching conversations that involve strategy, stewardship, leadership, communication, talent development, bottom-line result, and effective oversight goals.
She received her leadership coaching certificate from the Avila University graduate-level Organizational Development program, Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School, and undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas. She is certified as an associate coach with the International Coach Federation.
